As a single mom with a young son who needs some extra help, I needed a career that would allow me to grow professionally, yet offer some schedule flexibility when life happens. It is also important to experience satisfaction and a sense of contribution. For years I provided members of my family with massages and seemed to be pretty good at it. It just seemed like a natural fit. It turned out to be much more involved medical anatomy training than I originally realized, but has ultimately proven to be a great choice. I love what I do, and when my clients get the results they are looking for and repeatedly come back, well, it is very gratifying. I especially enjoy the therapeutic/sports aspect of massage therapy. I was fortunate to attend Gwinnett College School of Massage which has top ranking, and intensive, expanded training by some of the best instructors available. Coursework completed was 760 hours, which is 260 more hours than required by the state of Georgia.
